About the role: Our host employer, Aggreko, is the global leader in generator and temperature control hire with locations throughout the world. A major player in the global power market with local operations spanning across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. Aggreko is seeking a
1st year Plant Mechanic who will assist the team to undertake maintenance and repairs of equipment at their Welshpool (Perth) Depot. As part of this Apprenticeship you will conduct repairs and maintenance on large industrial equipment.
Some of the things you will do are;
- Learn to interpret technical drawings and perform engineering measurements
- Plan work activities, interact with computer technology and perform computations
- Use hand and power tools to dismantle, replace and assemble engineering components
- Learn to diagnose, repair and replace diesel engines, fault finding with hydraulic systems and maintain electronic controlling systems on mobile and stationary plant
This role is located in
Welshpool, working
Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.30pm. At times, travel will be required to regional mining areas.

About you: - Willingness to undertake a Certificate III Engineering (Fixed & mobile plant) over 4 years
- Have excellent mechanical aptitude and skill
- Be positive with a can-do attitude and a strong focus on safety
- Drivers licence & and own transport
- Year 12 graduate with a strong mathematical skill
- Be willing to undergo a police check.
