The Opportunity

We are seeking two enthusiastic Business Trainees to start their career with Monash Council from late February 2026. This structured traineeship offers exposure to multiple departments through planned rotations, giving you hands-on experience in a wide range of areas.
Trainees will gain valuable skills and experience within the Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Contracts, Digital and Technology, Information Management and Governance and Property Revenue and Valuations departments.

  Duties May Include
  • Delivering administrative support across Corporate Services
  • Data entry and database management
  • Preparing and processing documents
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Responding to phone and email inquiries
  • Participate in Safety and Quality Review meetings
  • Participation in team meetings and development activities
  About You
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Completion of Year 12 High School or equivalent
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willing to undergo a Police Check prior to commencement
