Northmead (15 minutes from Paramatta), are offering an
exciting opportunity for a 1st or 2nd Year Mechanical Engineering Trade Apprentice at their industrial site.
This is an incredible chance to learn from industry experts, work with cutting‑edge equipment, and build a long-term career in mechanical engineering.
As an Apprentice, some of the things you will do are;
- Examine and understand detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task
- Operate and adjust metalworking machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components
- Use hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines
- Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies
- Operate lathes, machining centres, sheet metal folders, and benders
- Use a wide variety of welding practices including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
This role is located in
Northmead, working
Monday to Friday 6.00am – 2.00pm

About you: - Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
- You must be committed to completing a 4 Year/Stage Apprenticeship
- A passion for Engineering - please outline in cover letter
- Drivers Licence (P1 onwards)
- Minimum completion of Year 11 schooling
- Commitment to completing 4 years of training and study
- Previous work experience in a mechanical workspace or similar
