About the role:

If you are mechanically minded, technically curious and hands‑on, with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail, you will excel here. As a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, you will;
  • Operate and adjust production machines 
  • Run diagnostic checks, and troubleshoot to identify problems in production 
  • Design new components and systems using CAD/CAM systems 
  • Repair machines and build components in repair facilities 
  • Use programs to monitor machine processes and performance 
  • Perform changeovers/setups, preventative maintenance, and fault finding 
  • Examine and evaluate specifications for the requirements for a task 
  • Operate and adjust machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components 
  • Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines 
  • Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools and welding equipment 
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies
Location: Gepps Cross, SA
Hours of Work: 7.30am– 3.30pm, Monday - Friday

About you:
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
  • Minimum completion of Year 12 High School
  • Driver’s License and reliable transport
  • You will enjoy working with tools and machinery, thrive in a production environment, and take pride in precision work
