Another win as Max named Apprentice of the Year
Australian Industry Group’s Apprentice and Trainee Centre (ATC) is celebrating another major win.
Mechanical fitter apprentice Max Neagle, hosted to ARB Corporation, was named Apprentice of the Year at the Victorian 2025 Apprentice Training Awards, hosted by Apprenticeship Employment Network (AEN) and Global Apprenticeship Network (GAN) Australia at Melbourne Town Hall last week.
On the same night, fellow ATC apprentice Sarah Hunn-Mozes was named Female Apprentice of the Year.
Max’s award represents the highest recognition of excellence in the group training sector in Victoria.
The ATC’s Craig Hilton said: “Winning this award in front of industry leaders, dignitaries and fellow apprentices was a proud moment for Max, his parents, ARB representatives including his supervisor, Daniel Thoma, and our team.
“Known for his quiet determination and passion for his trade, Max is a humble achiever who prefers to let his work speak for itself.
“His commitment and skill have set him apart throughout his apprenticeship.”
The Apprentice of the Year award caps off an outstanding apprenticeship journey for Max and highlights the incredible opportunities available through collaboration between our ATC and leading host employers like ARB Corporation.
In August, Max — pictured with Jarrod Cartwright, of the Awards’ sponsor, Apprentice Support Australia — was awarded the Global Footprint Scholarship, which will enable him to travel to Thailand to expand his skills and experience at ARB’s advanced manufacturing plant.
Congratulations, Max! Your hard work and dedication are an inspiration to apprentices everywhere.
