Apprentice of the Month – November 2025: Kai Lamkin
We are thrilled to announce Kai Lamkin as our Apprentice of the Month for November 2025!
Kai is completing his Industrial Electrical apprenticeship with Aggreko in Townsville QLD, and his progress and attitude to date have been outstanding.
Over the past year, Kai has shown incredible growth—turning early challenges into opportunities and proving he’s determined to succeed. His commitment to his training is second to none. A great example? Kai put his ownbirthday celebrations on hold so he wouldn’t miss a critical TAFE training block. That level of dedication speaksvolumes about his character and drive.
Kai’s initiative and leadership have also made a real impact at Aggreko. When the spare parts area in the workshop needed a bit of attention, Kai didn’t wait for someone else to step up—he took ownership. He sourced tubs and trays, printed new labels, and reorganised the entire space. The result was a more efficient and organised workshop, earning him well-deserved praise from his supervisor.
Beyond his technical skills, Kai contributes positively to workplace culture. He’s often the first to raise safety topics during toolbox meetings, showing his commitment to keeping everyone safe. He also spends time outside of work reading electrical standards to deepen his knowledge—another sign of his proactive approach to learning.
Looking ahead, Kai is excited about the future, especially as Aggreko moves toward Net Zero projects in power generation and battery storage technology. With his attitude and work ethic, there’s no doubt Kai has a bright career ahead
