About the role:
Begin your career with our Host, Northlake Electrical, a well-established company specialising in switchboard manufacturing and sheet metal fabrication for the electrical and irrigation industries. With over 30 years of experience delivering high-quality solutions to contractors, service providers and government departments, Northlake offers a supportive environment to develop valuable trade skills.
In this hands-on Light Fabrication Apprenticeship, you will learn to manufacture and assemble electrical switchboards, enclosures and sheet metal components while working alongside experienced tradespeople.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.00am to 3.00pm

In this hands-on Light Fabrication Apprenticeship, you will learn to manufacture and assemble electrical switchboards, enclosures and sheet metal components while working alongside experienced tradespeople.
Some of the things you will do are:
- Learn to use guillotines for sheet metal cutting
- Operate plate and section benders
- Use notching and punching shears
- Work with wet saws for metal cutting
- Gain experience with MIG and TIG welding equipment
- Use general hot works tools including cutting, grinding and welding equipment
- Assist with fit out and installation of electrical enclosures
Location: Jandakot
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.00am to 3.00pm
What’s in it for you?

- Minimum completion of Year 10 High School
- Cert II (pre-apprenticeship) preferred
- Excellent mathematics skill and attention to detail an advantage
- Driver’s License and reliable transport
