About the role: Our Host Employer, QPE Engineering is a leading manufacturing company delivering advanced manufacturing, precision components and assembly to a range of industries. As a
Machinist Apprentice, you will work hands‑on producing precision components and assemblies that support defence, aerospace, mining and renewable energy industries.
Some of the things you may do are;
- Learn from skilled tradespeople in a cutting-edge production environment
- Develop core machining and engineering fundamentals
- Assist qualified trades and help maintain a clean, organised workshop
- Learn basic machining techniques using manual mills and lathes
- Perform basic machine maintenance
- Use a variety of hand tools
Location: Gillman
Hours of Work: 6.30am – 3.00pm, Monday - Friday
