About the role:
Our Host Employer is a renowned precision component manufacturer with a global presence located in Elizabeth South. They service esteemed clientele across various industries such as Defence, Aerospace, Medical, Electronics, and Commercial Engineering sectors, both within Australia and internationally.

They are currently seeking to recruit a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice (Machinist), 1st or 2nd Year preferred. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about hands-on work, machining, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and inspection tasks. The role offers a comprehensive 4-year apprenticeship program aimed at honing skills and obtaining a recognized trade qualification in the field. Your duties will include;
  • Assisting with running and maintaining CNC machines
  • Assisting with running and maintaining of CMM machines (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
  • Assembling parts designed for the aerospace industry
  • Using CAD software 
  • Carrying out routine inspections 
This role is located in Elizabeth South, working Monday to Friday 7.00am – 3.00pm

About you:
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
  • Minimum completion of Year 12 High School
  • Cert II Engineering or current 1st/2nd Year Mechanical Engineering Apprentice
  • Driver’s License and reliable transport
  • Excellent attention to detail, numeracy and literacy skills
