Working Week: 4‑day week (38 hours)

The Opportunity:
 
Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is seeking 2 Mechanical Engineering Apprentices to join our host, a leading organisation within the rail and engineering manufacturing sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start a long-term career working with cutting-edge CNC machinery, modern equipment, and experienced trades professionals in a brand-new facility.

• Obtain a Nationally recognised qualification: MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical)

Duties may include:

• Interpreting and working from detailed technical drawings
• Operating CNC machines, milling machines, and lathes
• Using hand and power tools
• Set up and operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines
• Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies
• Possible opportunities to work in Defence and Mining industries 
• Working safely in line with industry and rail standards

About You:

• Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
• Completion of Year 10 High School
• Drivers Licence desirable but not essential
• Willing to undertake police check and pre employment medical if required  
• Able to undertake a CAT 3 Rail Medical (required)
• Motivated, reliable and eager to learn
