This is a rare chance to get hands‑on inside Adelaide’s tram network. Working alongside qualified tradespeople at Adelaide Metro (Torrens Connect), you’ll help maintain, service and repair tram systems while building real‑world mechanical skills in a live operating environment. With strict safety standards, modern workshop exposure and a clear pathway to a nationally recognised trade qualification, this role is ideal for someone mechanically minded and serious about a long‑term career.

What you’ll do
- Assist trades with scheduled servicing and mechanical repairs
- Learn to use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment safely
- Complete inspections and report faults
- Help keep Adelaide’s trams running safely and reliably
- Location: Glengowrie, SA
- Hours: Mon–Fri, 6:30am–2:30pm + RDOs
- Open to current 2nd‑year Mechanical Engineering Apprentices
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical
- Training fees and PPE covered
- Mentoring from experienced tradespeople
- Ongoing support from a dedicated Consultant
- Access to Australian Apprenticeship Support Loans
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Minimum Year 10 completed
- Driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Cert II in Engineering or relevant experience (preferred)
