Horsham, VIC | Full‑Time | Emergency Services Environment

We’re looking for a motivated and reliable trainee to join a busy administrative team working in an emergency services environment that supports local volunteers and the wider community.

This is a great opportunity to build a solid foundation in business and administration while earning and learning on the job, gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

No previous office experience is required — just a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong communication skills.
What you’ll be doing As part of the team, you’ll learn how to:
  • Answer and direct reception and telephone enquiries
  • Assist with uniform fittings for volunteers
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Perform general administration and data entry tasks
  • Maintain records and support office systems
  • Provide day‑to‑day support to staff and volunteers
  • Develop professional communication and organisational skills
You’ll gain practical, hands‑on experience every day while completing your Certificate III in Business with structured on‑the‑job support.
What we’re looking for
  • Completed Year 12 (or equivalent)
  • Suited to someone a few years out of school or a mature school leaver
  • Friendly, organised and confident communicating with others
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • Comfortable working in an office environment
  • Interest in working alongside volunteers in an emergency services setting
  • Willingness to obtain a Working With Children Check and Police Check (required)
