About the role:
Our Host Employer is a South Australian family-owned company who, over the past 41 years, have experienced progressive growth to meet the needs of their customers and the steel fabrication industry, becoming a market leader when it comes to technology and fabrication economics. As an Apprentice Boilermaker, you will learn how to work with heavy structural steel in a workshop environment, developing skills in fabrication, welding and assembly.
Some of the things you will do are;
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Measure and mark out materials
  • Assist with preparation and fabrication of large steel components
  • Gain hands-on experience with welding, grinding, cutting and fitting
  • Support qualified tradespeople during fabrication processes
  • Use a range of tools and workshop machinery
  • Learn and apply safe operating practices
  
Location: Gillman
Work Hours: Monday to Friday 6.00am – 2.30pm with regular RDO’s

About you:
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
  • Minimum completion of Year 12 High School
  • Driver’s License and reliable transport essential
  • You will have basic welding experience, with good hand/eye coordination in a practical setting
