Truck Trailer Body Building Traineeship

Learn to build truck and trailer bodies while gaining a trade qualification. TAFE covered and PPE provided.

About the Role
If you're interested in fabrication, welding and manufacturing, this is an opportunity to learn a specialised trade while earning a nationally recognised qualification.

You'll work alongside experienced tradespeople, learning how truck and trailer bodies are built, assembled, modified and repaired within a busy manufacturing environment.

Please note: This apprenticeship focuses on the manufacture and fabrication of truck and trailer bodies. It is not a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic apprenticeship and does not involve engine servicing, diagnostics or mechanical repairs.

Duties May Include

• Manufacturing and assembling truck and trailer bodies
• Assisting with fabrication, welding and metalwork tasks
• Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
• Fitting and assembling trailer components
• Modifying and repairing trailer body structures
• Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas
• Following workplace safety and quality procedures
• Working as part of a skilled manufacturing team

Location: Brooklyn, VIC
Hours: Monday to Friday | 6:00am to 2:06pm | 38 hours per week
Duration: 3 years

About You
 
We're looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine interest in fabrication, welding, manufacturing or building things
• Enjoys hands-on, practical work
• Is reliable, motivated and eager to learn
• Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Works well in a team environment
• Demonstrates a commitment to workplace safety
• Has completed Year 10 or equivalent
• Holds a current driver's licence (desirable but not essential)

This opportunity is best suited to applicants looking to build a career in manufacturing and fabrication, rather than vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs.
