The Opportunity:
 
Join a long-standing Albury manufacturer that designs and produces innovative safety solutions for the handling and storage of dangerous goods. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specialist fabrication environment, manufacturing high-quality stainless-steel safety equipment including emergency showers, basins, and other workplace safety products. 

As an apprentice, you will learn a wide range of fabrication skills including welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and assembly while working alongside experienced tradespeople. You'll gain valuable knowledge in stainless-steel fabrication, interpreting drawings, using workshop machinery, and producing safety equipment used across a variety of industries.
 
This is a full-time apprenticeship offering 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm, with one RDO per month.

Duties may include:
  • Examining and understanding detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task
  • Cutting, rolling, shaping, heating, or hammering metal products to produce parts.
  • Using hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines.
  • Using various techniques which include welding, bolting, and riveting to align, assemble, and fix pieces together to create parts and structures.
  • Adding finishing touches to products in the form of cleaning, polishing, filing, and adding protective or decorative finishes.  
About You:
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
  • Completion of Year 10 High School
  • Drivers Licence and reliable transport
  • Willingness to learn and an interest in fabrication
  • Willing to undertake police check and pre employment medical if required
