Apprentice of the Month – March 2026: Lauren Yates
We are proud to announce Lauren Yates as our Apprentice of the Month for March 2026.
Lauren is currently in the third stage of her electrical apprenticeship and hosted by LionCo at the Tooheys Brewery in Sydney. Since commencing her apprenticeship, Lauren has consistently demonstrated a level of commitment, professionalism, and maturity that is exceptional for her stage of training.
Feedback from Lauren’s host employer has been overwhelmingly positive, with regular praise for her strong work ethic and her ability to effectively integrate off-the-job theory with practical, on-the-job tasks. She approaches every task with integrity and diligence, while maintaining a strict focus on safety and compliance—qualities that have quickly earned her the respect of her supervisors.
Lauren’s performance and attitude have not gone unnoticed beyond the workplace. Recently, she was shortlisted for the ETU Female Apprentice of the Year, a nationally recognised award and a significant achievement that recognises not only her technical capability, but also the professionalism and leadership she brings to her apprenticeship. This acknowledgement reflects the high regard in which she is held across the industry and reinforces the strong foundation she is building for a successful career in the electrical trade.
A standout aspect of Lauren’s journey is the way she leads by example. She is a genuine role model for other apprentices, particularly women entering non-traditional trades. Lauren is confident and articulate when speaking about the opportunities available within the electrical industry, and her conduct consistently reflects the values of professionalism, integrity, and dedication. She is helping to pave the way for future female apprentices by demonstrating what is possible through hard work and commitment.
There is no doubt that Lauren is “going places” in her career. Her drive, capability, and positive influence make her a deserving recipient of this recognition, and an outstanding ambassador for both Ai Group ATC and the electrical trade more broadly.
Congratulations, Lauren, on being named Apprentice of the Month. We look forward to seeing your continued growth and success throughout your apprenticeship and beyond.
