Apprentice of the Month – June 2026: Cade Somerville

We are proud to announce Cade Somerville as our Apprentice of the Month for June 2026.

Cade is nearing completion on his Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrical Apprenticeship), with an expected completion in January 2027. At just 20 years of age, Cade is already demonstrating the capability, maturity and work ethic of a highly skilled tradesperson in the making.

Hosted at AGL Torrens Island in South Australia, Cade has built a strong reputation on site as a dependable and highly capable apprentice. He approaches his work with a consistently positive attitude and a genuine enthusiasm to learn, which has seen him stand out among his peers.

Cade’s supervisor Josh from AGL, speaks highly of his development and the example he sets for others. He is regarded as a role model for fellow apprentices, particularly in the way he approaches safety and takes ownership of his work. Cade has developed strong fault-finding skills and is now confidently undertaking tasks independently, requiring minimal supervision. He is trusted to complete work to a high standard and report back accurately, with very few errors.

Beyond his technical ability, Cade is known for his initiative. He actively seeks out new tasks and learning opportunities, showing a strong commitment to developing his skills and contributing to the workplace. His proactive approach and willingness to take on challenges have made him a valued member of the team.

Cade’s commitment to working safely has also been recognised, having recently received an internal WHS award through AGL. This highlights his strong understanding of safe work practices and reinforces the importance he places on maintaining a safe environment for himself and those around him.

Looking ahead, Cade has made a strong impression within the business. Cade’s attitude, capability and dedication to his trade make him a very deserving recipient of this month’s award. We look forward to supporting him through the remainder of his apprenticeship and seeing his continued success.
