Apprentice of the Month – September 2026 Andrew Franklin
Our Apprentice of the Month for September 2026 is Andrew Franklin
The Australian Industry Group ATC is proud to recognise Andrew Franklin as our Apprentice of the Month for September 2026.
Andrew is a second-year Electrical Apprentice hosted by Mayfield Industries, where he has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, initiative and commitment to excellence throughout his apprenticeship to date. His willingness to contribute beyond what is expected and his ability to apply practical knowledge to workplace challenges have made him a highly valued member of the team.
A standout example of Andrew’s capability was his involvement in a specialised project where he was able to draw on his previous plumbing experience. While welding and installing flow and return copper pipework, Andrew worked closely with the design team to identify a more practical solution for managing step-downs within a confined flooring space. His insight helped improve the installation process for the project and provided a more efficient approach that can be applied to future projects involving similar room configurations.
Andrew’s supervisors regularly praise his initiative and problem-solving skills, along with his ability to approach tasks with professionalism and attention to detail. He takes pride in the quality of his work and is always looking for opportunities to learn, improve and contribute positively to the workplace.
What makes Andrew particularly deserving of this recognition is his dedication to both his apprenticeship and personal development. Recently, while on paternity leave, Andrew continued to progress his studies, demonstrating an exceptional commitment to his training and long-term career goals. His determination to continue learning, despite managing significant personal responsibilities, speaks volumes about his character and professionalism.
Andrew’s positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to embrace new challenges have earned him the respect of his colleagues and supervisors alike. He represents the qualities that make apprenticeships such an important pathway for developing skilled tradespeople and future industry leaders.
To celebrate this achievement, Andrew will receive an Apprentice of the Month certificate and gift voucher, recognising his outstanding contribution and commitment to his apprenticeship journey.
Congratulations, Andrew, on this well-deserved recognition. We thank you for the positive impact you continue to make at Mayfield Industries and look forward to following your continued success throughout the remainder of your apprenticeship and beyond.
