Award winning Apprentice Sarah completes her trade journey

The Australian Industry Group Apprentice & Trainee Centre is proud to congratulate Sarah Hunn Mozes on completing her apprenticeship with us and our host company Convair Engineering, marking the end of an incredible journey and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her career.

Sarah’s apprenticeship has been about much more than learning a trade. Throughout her time with us and her host Convair, she has become a passionate advocate for apprenticeships, manufacturing careers and increasing opportunities for women in trades.

Her achievements have been recognised across the industry, including being named Female Apprentice of the Year at the 2025 AEN Awards (Insert link here to that story) and a finalist in the 2026 Victorian Training Awards. – (Another link)

Along the way, Sarah has generously shared her story at careers events, industry activities and community engagements, helping inspire the next generation of apprentices to consider a career in the trades. Her willingness to step forward, share her experiences and champion apprenticeships has made a lasting impact on many people.

Like all apprenticeship journeys, Sarah’s path has included challenges. Through determination, resilience and a positive attitude, she has continued to grow both personally and professionally, earning the respect of her colleagues, supervisors and the wider ATC team.

Sarah’s success is also a reflection of the strong support provided by Convair Engineering, whose commitment to developing apprentices has helped her thrive throughout her training.

We are incredibly proud of everything Sarah has achieved, not only as an award-winning apprentice but as a role model for others considering a trade career. We were recently able to celebrate her achievements along with her family at the Victorian Training awards, and our lead Employment and Training Consultant Shannon Voss Smith was on hand at Convair to present Sarah with her completion certificate.

Congratulations, Sarah, on this outstanding achievement. Thank you for being such a positive ambassador for apprenticeships, and we wish you every success for the future. 👏
